Our Prayer
Bible Text: Ephesians 3:14-21 | Preacher: Pastor Jon Nelson | Series: Where do I belong?
“Where do I belong?” is our new sermon series as we are walking through the book of Ephesians. It also is a question of balancing the roles of being a follower of Jesus while at the same time the everyday life of work and home. Ephesians gives us deeply practical advice on church, marriage, parenting, forgiveness and much more all while exalting the sovereignty of God. The advice is rooted deeply in how our great God loves us in the same way.
This week we walk through Ephesians 3:14 – 21 where we talk about the beauty of the local church. In this passage the Apostle Paul recognized that the Ephesians’ were struggling in their understanding of who they were and what they had access to in their God. So after laying the foundation of our marvelous faith, Paul begins the transition to the practical by offering a powerful prayer to God on their behalf.
Our Big Idea for this week was “The God of the Universe leans in to hear believers when we pray.”
