Hosea is a story of a broken vow, a broken home, a broken heart and a broken life.  God has chosen to reveal this sad story through a broken-hearted prophet, so that he and his people will understand God’s faithfulness and unrelenting love.  God never gives up on His people. God never gives up on you. Others may give up on you, or you may even give up on yourself, but not God.

Imagine the horror of taking what you thought was beneficial and discovering, too late, that it was killing you. That, in a very real sense, is what Hosea shares with Israel in the latter part of Hosea 6 and heading into the first two verses of Hosea 7. Chapter six begins with a plea to return to the Lord then lists several accusations concerning their spiritual hypocrisy. So this week we have entitled the message, God’s love is > Spiritual Hypocrisy.
