Christians at War
Bible Text: Ephesians 6:10 – 20 | Preacher: Pastor Jon Nelson | Series: Where do I belong?
“Where do I belong?” is our sermon series as we are walking through the book of Ephesians. It also is a question of balancing the roles of being a follower of Jesus while at the same time the everyday life of work and home. Ephesians gives us deeply practical advice on church, marriage, parenting, forgiveness and much more all while exalting the sovereignty of God. The advice is rooted deeply in how our great God loves us in the same way.
This week we walk through Ephesians 6:10-20 where Paul wants to assure these believers that Christ reigns supreme over demonic forces. At the same time, he makes clear that these powers remain active and dangerous, and thus believers must struggle against them. And in order to successfully engage in this struggle, Paul says, believers must be aware of two things:
The nature of the battle they are in, and
The weapons they must employ to fight this battle.
Our Soul Tattoo for the week is “Make WAR!”
