Affordable Christmas is our holiday project that offers a dignified way to help under-resourced parents that we already work with to provide a comfortable and joyful Christmas for their children. Rather than giving away gifts, we work effectively to provide families with a unique experience. This is birthed out of relationships with those we love – relationships with people who were not looking for someone to feel sorry for them, but rather desired an opportunity to provide Christmas for their families.

- Host a donation basket on your office floor/hospital floor/any place you work
- Request a jeans day for anyone that donates financially or with toys to the event
- Talk to your gym, favorite coffee shop, or local business owners who want to host a basket for you
- Use your company’s matching gift program to donate to Affordable Christmas (just make sure it is designated for that specific event)
- Have a different idea? Great- go for it!

Q: Can families from non-partner organizations participate in shopping at Affordable Christmas?
A: No, this is a closed event and only for families who are a part of Soma or our partner churches and organizations.
Q: How does Soma use the money from the Affordable Christmas gift sales?
A: It goes directly back into the budget for next year to pull off the event.
Q: Can companies give monetary donations?
A: Yes. Please make checks payable to “Soma Community Church” with ‘Affordable Christmas’ in the memo.
Q: How do individuals or companies receive a tax-deduction form?
A: Please contact us to let us know you are in need of a form and we will gladly help you with it.
